Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement Acceptance:

By engaging in our dog training services, you (the “Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions outlined below. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cornerstone Canine Training.

2. Services:

2.1. Cornerstone Canine Training agrees to provide dog training services to the Client as described in the service agreement or as mutually discussed and agreed upon.

2.2. The nature and duration of training sessions, will be determined by Cornerstone Canine Training in consultation with the Client.

2.3 For group classes, multi-dog homes are to book dogs onto different courses – one dog per home to attend group sessions with a maximum of two humans per dog.   

3. Client Responsibilities:

3.1. For all training you (the client) are responsible for your dog and any damage/injury your dog may cause. Participation of you and your dog in sessions is at your own risk, not that of Cornerstone Canine Training (including any volunteers).   

3.2 All dogs are to remain on leads during all training unless otherwise advised by the trainer. 

3.3 Owners are responsible for keeping their dog in their designated areas during group classes, as instructed by the trainer or volunteers. 

3.4 If you have a dog in season or is injured/unwell, they are to remain at home for group classes, your participation is expected to ensure your learning continues through observation and guidance – your training can continue at home with minimal disruption. No refund will be issued for dogs and owners who miss sessions.

3.5. The Client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the dog’s health, behaviour, history, and any specific training goals.

3.6 The Client is required to maintain control of their dog at all times and follow any instructions provided by the dog trainer during and after training sessions.

3.7 All clients are expected to be respectful and supportive of other clients and their dogs, the trainer and volunteers. Any clients that do not adhere to this, may be asked to leave the course of sessions with no refund issued.   

3.8 All dogs are to wear a harness with a fixed lead – no extendable (retractable) leads allowed in group classes or 1-2-1 sessions. 

4. Payment:

4.1. Payment for dog training services must be made in advance. Bookings are only secured once payment has been received in full.

4.2. All payments must be made in GBP (£) and are non-refundable.

4.3. If payment is not received by the agreed-upon due date, Cornerstone Canine Training reserves the right to suspend or terminate services.

4.4 New Clients booking in for 1-2-1 sessions must book a package for three sessions, to be taken 2 weeks apart. After completion of the first three sessions, individual top up sessions can be purchased.  

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling:

5.1. Cancellations or rescheduling of training sessions must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise, the session may be charged in full.

5.2. Cornerstone Canine Training reserves the right to reschedule or cancel training sessions due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, illness, or other emergencies. If possible, the trainer will arrange for the training sessions to happen on Zoom at the same time as the agreed session. If you (the client) decline to train via Zoom, the session will not be refunded or carried over

5.3 After payment for group classes has been made, if you (the client) needs to cancel before the course of classes start, a refund will only be issued if the trainer is able to fill your space with a suitable dog.

5.4 For 1-2-1 sessions, if your dog is unwell or injured, the session may be carried out via Zoom. It is your responsibility to contact the trainer at your earliest opportunity to discuss. If less than 24 hours notice is given to the trainer or you decline to train via Zoom, the session will not be refunded or carried over.

5.5 If the trainer needs to fully cancel (where Zoom is not an option), sessions will be carried forward to a future date.

6. Liability:

6.1. The Client acknowledges that dog training involves inherent risks, and Cornerstone Canine Training cannot be held responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during or as a result of training sessions.

6.2. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold Cornerstone Canine Training harmless from any claims, actions, liabilities, costs, or damages arising from the Client’s dog’s behaviour, actions, or any failure to disclose relevant information.

7. Confidentiality:

7.1. We may share information when required by law or to respond to legal processes. We therefore will not guarantee client confidentiality.

7.2. Cornerstone Canine Training (including volunteers) may use video, photographs, or other media of the Client’s dog for educational and promotional purposes with the Client’s consent.

8. Termination:

8.1 Cornerstone Canine Training reserves the right to terminate services if the Client fails to comply with the terms and conditions outlined herein.

9. Governing Law:

9.1. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.

By engaging in our dog training services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
